Here we go again...

It would take hours and hours of catching up in all the events over the past 5 years so here is goes with a quick catch up... bear with me this is going to be long. At the of our blog title Moments We Cherish the last post was on September 23, 2010. We were just a few short weeks away from Richard coming home from Afghanistan and we couldn't have been more excited. We wrapped up Parkers birthday with a backhoe and began to plan for Richard's homecoming. Richard came home on October 30th, at 11:59pm, almost Halloween..

As the months unfolded and we adjusted back to the new "normal"  I had simply one wish, one more baby... This had been a huge discussion over the deployment. I had felt we had one more sweet spirit waiting to come to our family and now was the time to bring it down. It didn't take long for the line to appear, we found out early January that we were expecting! I was thrilled. As Richard continued to look for a new job the Lord continued to bless us. I continued to work at the hospital and Richard had become the stay home Dad. This ended in September, just weeks before our sweet baby girl would join our family.
On October 7, 2011 we welcomed Kinley Ryllen Hastings to complete our family!

I know I said a nut shell, but so many moments I cannot help but get so excited to share!
2012 brought us more blessings as I finished my degree and student taught in the fall. The kids continued to grow and excel at all they did. We had Parker diagnosed with Severe ADHD and PDD-NOS which is on the spectrum of autism. Thank goodness for modern medicine! 2013 brought good times and bad times, but through it all we remained close and continued to strengthen our forever family as our extended family took a little change. At the end of 2013 I became a first grade teacher at Beehive Elementary and began my career while continuing my education to receive my Masters degree in Teacher Leadership. Here is the most recent family picture. This was taken in May 2014!
As 2015 brings us many exciting changes it also brings us back to the blog. The reason behind the blog. To keep Richard connected while he is deployed. Yes, again... Hence the title, here we go again. On Valentines Day we were cleaning our cars and Richard got a phone call. A call that we were not expecting to happen...ever.. again... It was the call that he was on alert. He would be deploying in the Spring. This brought on a whole flood of emotions. We decided to let it happen and just wait it out. We continued to try to live our lives with as much plan as we could. We planned a family vacation to Disneyland and Richard landed the job of his dreams doing design work. Life could not be better, until April 2, 2015 at 1:05pm it has been confirmed, he will be deploying in May to Qatar in help of Operation Inherent Resolve. This was not a surprise yet the feelings were just like someone had told you your best friend had died even though you knew it was gong to happen you can never fully prepare for it. Now, I know a deployment is not  a death, but the separation that you feel, the lonliness that runs through your complete body is as horrible as losing your best friend. I have found that blogging is my out and helps me stay connected and also a way to look back at how I have gotten through things I thought I never could. Today is April 7, 2015 and we are just weeks away from our trip to Disneyland and also saying goodbye to our soldier once more. Our memories will be here to laugh about. cry about and share with our loved one! Check back often for updates.
XOXO
